I’ll Make The Most Of My Sins – Liverpool Album Launch Show
Hi everyone, just a quick note to keep you updated on my album release.
The ‘soft-release’ remains the 27th January – if you have pre-ordered you will receive your copy on or before this date. I’ll also have the record available at my shows from that date onward. Follow the link below if you’d still like to pre-order.
The ‘official’ release in the shops is Friday 3rd February – so if you want to grab it from your local record store, HMV, Amazon, Spotify or your shop of choice then 3rd Feb is the day! (A slight change to our original plan)
Thank you for your ongoing support and interest in the record. I’m very excited to finally share it with you all.
The release of the album was much anticipated as we had been working on the artwork and promotion for most of the previous year. I wanted something that would be reminiscent of classic artwork from the bands that had been influential to me, the likes of Pink Floyd. So this had to be right, it had to be the best release I had ever been involved with…and it was.
The critical reaction was better than I imagined it to be, but then with a slight tongue-in-cheek, I felt it was something the album could achieve. Shortly after the release I was given the opportunity to support Justin Currie of Del Amitri, which has to of been a big highlight of this year for me and the response from his fans was brilliant. As a result I still have a lot of Justin’s fans coming out to watch me now.
The last six months have seen me travel to all corners of the U.K. and also some Ireland dates, I have enjoyed talking to those of you who had already had the album and those who bought the album from me at a gig.
As for the second half of the year I am going to be heading to the continent for some shows. I have been asked to play the Rolling Stone Weekender festival in Germany on the same bill as one of my favourite , bands ‘Travis’. So we will also be booking plenty of other dates in Germany to coincide with this.
I have also been writing and thinking about a new album, but this will be a work in progress for a while, so I will keep you up to date on my progress with this.
Thank you all for your continued support and lovely messages about the album. It’s a real help hearing how much you’re enjoying it.
See you all soon at a gig.
You may have seen that I’m releasing my new single “The Passage” today, and I hope you are all enjoying the video. Some of you may have also seen me posting on Facebook that I have something else lined up, well here it is…
Simply enter their names and email addresses and then hit ‘Submit’. Your friends will then receive an email with information on how to download and then share with their friends! Do it now as the app is only live for this week and it will really help me reach new people too. You will be the envy of all your peers! I know most of you lovely people have purchased the 2 disc hardback version rather than downloading, so don’t be burning your friends a CD! : )
See you at a show soon!
This is a big day for me, as my debut album is finally released. The last 18 months have been great. Getting out and playing around the country to lots of new people, and happily people seem to be liking it. I sincerely hope you do. Thank you.
You can grab copy of the double CD & 25 page book edition or the download version (with bonus tracks) below or click on the STORE page.
There are just a few days left until my debut album (28th January) is out, and you can now hear it in full on Americana UK. If you still haven’t managed to pre order it – then you can do so in a range of formats here or on the ‘STORE’ link above.
If you are looking for a bit more insight into some of the songs on the album then head over to this Facebook gallery. I have been counting down the days until album’s release by talking about the tracks and their recordings, so if you have any questions then let me know.
With just over a week until my debut album (which you can now pre-order on Amazon here) is finally released, 2013 is still going well. Leading into this I have been ‘serialising’ the album with a track each day so you get slightly more insight into the writing, recording and completion of these songs. You can take a look at the photos so far here.
In other news I have unfortunately had to move the two Irish shows in March to May, the exact dates will come soon but for a full run down of my gigs, use the Show tab.
This has been a long time coming, but here it finally is. My debut album ‘Life In Easy Steps’ is now pressed up and (very nearly) ready to go. You can pre order it from the following sites:
The design experts at Modo have been working hard to create the final part of this vision – and have done a great job with the artwork (as you can see below).
